OUR PROGRAM

Practical Life

~ Practical life activities form a basic part of of the Montessori method and refer to an increasingly challenging series of small motor tasks involving practical real-life goals, such as cleaning a table, washing a plate, setting the table, personal grooming, or sweeping the floor.

Sensorial Materials

~The Montessori sensory materials and activities are specifically designed so that the children have chances to develop all their senses.

Culture and Science

~The Montessori culture and science curriculum encompasses geography, history, zoology, botany, and science. Because this curriculum focuses on learning about the world around us, whenever possible materials for the activities are real objects, many of which are found in nature.

Mathematics

~In Montessori, children always progress from concrete materials to abstract thought. In math, this translates into presenting quantities before symbols. Children understand quantities more easily than symbols because quantities can be represented in a concrete matter.

Language Arts

~The Montessori language arts materials are designed to include as many opportunities for concrete learning as possible. The Sound Pouches contain small objects that children work with to identify and practice phonetic sounds.
